Very interesting ingnition stuff...

Whith bigger turbo you can add advance to produce power.

When the graph goes down after 5500 you can add advance and graph could rise a little.

If you have small turbo there is hot exthaustgases in chamber at very high rpm and you should leave advance resonable level. This causes difficuld broblem: It rises EGT and pressure and more hot gas and so on...

Thanks, I was just playing around with the gtech to see if it could pick up a difference, it'll be very good to do this tests on a dyno, which I intend to do after I road tune the car @ 1 bar, hopefully it'll be soon.
Yes with a bigger turbo I could probably add a bit of timing (and perhaps a lot of hp) due to the cooler air and less back pressure that it would provide, however I think that the falloff after 5500 rpm is mainly due to the stock camshaft and also because I use the stock intake and TD exhaust manifold. In my opinion in order to rise the graph after 5500 I would have to make a new intake and tubular exhaust manifold. The turbo is a t3/t4 (rated @ 350 whp if you believe ebay figures ...), not a big turbo but it gives fast spool and very good power/torque curve which makes the car very easy and fun to drive as a daily driver .... of course it's also quite fast :-D (looking to get it tuned at 1 bar very soon, just have to get my WB back from a friend)

if your car isnt shiny, you dont know what you are talking about, remember; paint shine = knowledge. In order to be taken seriously, you should spend all your money on paint, (and get a dyno reading).
Dont forget to polish it often

if youd brought them, and fitted them so well, i'd have said 10 out of 10, as you have made them yourself, that has got to be 12 out of ten, they look amazing.

they have inspired me to junk the scooby ones i am halfway through fitting, and make some simerler to those, hope you dont mind

Thanks Nick, no problem, I can take more pics of the vents if you need .

Meanwhile I swapped the t3/t4 for another one with a larger compressor, inducer 57mm (2.24 inch), exducer 76.2 mm (3 inch). This turbo should be capable of handling about 500 crank hp, that is if I decide that I need more power. Car feels much stronger at 0.5 bar with this turbo (will have to verify via the gtech), of course there is a bit more lag, full boost comes at @ 3000 - 3100 rpm.

Actually I've switched back to MS1 since I want to use the traction control/rev limit feature (using the wheel speed sensors) which unfortunately does not exist in the current MS2 extra firmware. The only new thing currently is that I've upped the boost to ~1.0 bar using MS boost control feature, so now I have two setting 0.5 and 1.0 bar. I've also purchased 4-piston calipers and 340mm disks which I intend to install in the beginning of next month. Also if everything is fine with the car I'm considering putting it on a dyno to see what numbers it turns up on ~1.0 bar of boost .

P.S. Any of you running MS notice that the rev counter reads a bit high (~800rpm in the upper rpms) compared to the rpm displayed in megatune/tuner studio ? Any solution to the problem ?

my rev counter reads the same, have you got the one wire or two wire feed from the car? mine has two, and i just butted them together, works fine.

Nick, if I remember correctly it has two wires going in to the tacho, signal and ground ? I tied the signal wire to the MS tacho out .
