High Volume fuel pumps.
Are high volume pumps any benefit over an OEM pump? or is that mainly for carbed engines?

carbed engines use low pressure pumps in the 3-8 psi range and upgrading from stock psi will require a add-on fuel pressure regulator
fuel injection use high pressure pumps in the 30-80 psi range and all are controlled by the fuel pressure regulator high volume pumps might last longer as they don't have to work as hard

if you are turboed, hf pump is a must, if std, dont waste the cash, the std merc pumps flow enough fuel for about 400 bhp if working correctly.

But 400HP = 400HP be it NA or "Huffed"... The stock twin pumps operating in parallel or the later single pump provide more then enough volume ![]()
