Sound of a 300TE
Has anyone noticed this....We have a 89 300TE and when it gets hot or we been sitting in traffic for a while, when you accelerate at a decent pace, the car makes a "roaring" kinda sound? its not like a roar of a V8 but like this very subdued roar of some kind that i just love. When you drive some distance though you can hear it cut out....I know its a stoooopid thing to put in this part of the forum, but i was just wondering if any of you other people noticed that sound too....I love it

That sound is from the bi-metallic fan clutch being locked-up & pulling air across the radiator. NORMAL!
