Need Quick Help on Suspension ????s

hey guys...going on a trip soon and need input on some spring and damping questions for a 300e as I want to upgrade before I leave...will Bilstein HDs work w/Eibach springs (or should I go w/Sports?) I understand that the valving is the same, the difference lies in the length of the shock/strut...I've read posts from some who say the Sports "suck" and some who say the HDs are the "real deal", and vice versa...I know that I am asking for opinions here (and we all certainly have them), but I think I know enough to determine the opinions I will consider most...I don't want too harsh of a ride and I don't want a slammed look (subtle and stealthy is my goal). I am also replacing the stock 15x6.5 15-holes with either 15x7 or 16x7.5 8-holes as part of the upgrade, along with a new steering dampener...also, with the Eibachs, please refresh my memory as to which bump pads (front/rear) will provide a balanced look...I know that I'm asking alot here, but I've found that if you don't at least ask, you will never find out...Thanks to all here who make this a tremendous tool to make our toys more enjoyable, Bill
