faster cats
Is is true that the early ('87-'88) 300e's had faster cats as I read this in some discussion group? I saw 0-60 time in 2 websites of 7.5 sec for '87.

If you mean higher duration cam lobes, then yes. I think the M103 engine ran those cams between 86 to 88. They changed them to eliminate rough idle in 89 ( so i'm told ). They definately make the engine put out some extra horsepower in the 3000-4000 rpm range.
