Need a new custom radiator.

After 19 years Samson's radiator has given up and I need to replace it. Any recommendations. I did get a good recommendation for Ron Davis but he hasn't gotten back to me and I think he's not interested.
I think it has an inlet and outlet that scares people. Plus its a 1 off that they cant sell to anyone else. So just put out to four other companies, Dewitts, Entropy, Primeus Racing Parts and US Radiator. Primus is an interesting company. They are the sole US importers of Van Diemen race cars. I used to work for the importer of Van Diemen back in 1978. They were in Setuket NY at the time called Grand Prix SSR, Ferrari and Van Diemen dealer. All I can say is that if there quality of fabrication and welding is half that of what was done at Grand Prix SSR, they will be fine. So does anyone have any experience with these any of these guys or is there any other company I should be looking at. |

They show Al radiators but don't seem to advertise making custom ones. I have thought about having my old one repaired but it is leaking in three locations where the tank meats the core. I think if I have it repaired it will leak somewhere else shortly after. I will probably wait until I here (or don't here) from the 4 people I have already contacted. You would think there would be a builder in CT or MA that I can drive to. It's the machining capitol of the world. But I guess we weren't big on TIG welding. |
Saldana has made custom radiators in the past for me. Dimensions, fitting sizes, fitting location. All to spec.

So I could have gone either way with Ron Davis or Entropy. But I got more recommendations for Ron Davis. And most of all, when I call Ron Davis I spoke to Ron, when I call Entropy I get a salesmen. So the contract is out. See attached for the final design. |
