Count me in.

I have been lurking here for awhile. I picked up my 1992 500E today. Silver over gray, bone stock except for ASR defeat, first gear start and 6400 RPM redline.

It's a one owner car with 84,000 miles. I found it in Hemmings.

I live in the Bay Area and there is a fellow in my office building with a silver over gray 500E. I have every intention of parking right next to him this week!

I look forward to joining the crew here.

Congrats on your purchase! Please go check in on the "Roll Call" thread; I'll put you into the Registry I've got going and make sure you're invited to any 500E500 events. Our recent one here in New England saw 12 500Es parked in a line!

Welcome, Congrats, and enjoy!

I've often caught a glimpse of the silver of grey 500e you're referring to in the SF Financial District....now I'll spy a couple of them roaming around!

fyi- I won't have my mine out till December 2002 since my wheels are out in Los Angeles being rechromed....

Best regards

-fad

Thanks, guys.

Tom, I paid $24,500 and I found the car in Redding.

16V, I will be on vacation for the BBQ and will miss it, but I am trying to arrange to be at the Benzsport show. Thanks for the invite to the BBQ.

Michael, I will check in on the "Roll Call" next.

Fad, I tried to buy that guy's 500E (I left a note on his car), but he did not respond. I'm sure we will meet soon enough. We both park in 3 Embarcadero Center.

I love the car.

push rod adjustments, etc.
> I'll take out Elvis's car for Brabus' BBQ and perhaps that prissy E500 out for the Autofest (if its not drizzly, too cold, or raining)- - I have a couple of wheels- though- to be worked on though on the silver car while at the Autofest- so the E500 may still be under the cover in December....

>a healthy true running 6.3 will feel quicker 0-60mph vs. the 500e and will feel more monstrous on rolling WOT bursts- -
>suspension, braking, and effortless smooth bursts w/ favor the 500e
>different animals- in the final analysis

John, Are you going to show us your new treasure? (I actually thought we worked in the same building on California St.; you're not on the 15th floor? Do you work with Toby K.?)

-fad, If John is going to show off his car, I'll join you on Monday!

Fad, I will be on vacation next week. So, no side by side 500E's in the lot. I think the other silver 500E guy gets to work a lot later than me. I have trolled the lot the past couple of days and not seen his car as I get into the office. Why isn't he on this BB?

Bob, I do work with Toby Keller and we once worked at 650 California. We moved over here in January of '01. You can email me offline at johndfiero@yahoo.com.

I will most certainly show the car off to those who work in downtown S.F. It's in great shape -- original down to the floor mats. But it will have to be in a couple of weeks because I am going on vacation.
