That is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Bar none. Enjoy it Benzmac. Please remember how you did it, really, please document it step by step so in five years I can come to your shop and have it done. And when you get a chance, please post some performance figures.

Benzmac- I am 17 yeras old and my father handed down his 1986 Black Euro 16V to me last year with 200,000 miles on it and I turned his little town car into a sharp looking beast that turns heads everywhere. Mainly because he neglected every aspect of the car besides the engine, which to his credit is beautiful and strong. But the external aspect wasn't very pretty. I love the car and because I previously had nothing to eat my cash I was able to pour every penny I made working at the local golf club into it. A major setback was the fiasco with the head that you probably heard about about 6 months ago. Anyway, the bottom line is that your engine is the sickest thing I have ever seen in my life. When i graduate from college I can garauntee you that if I am making a decent living, instead of buying a new car, I am going to bring the 16V (that now has 210,000 on it) to you and I would pay more to have that done to my car than I would for a brand new Porshe. I could smoke all pig-iron, all rice with a date in the car, looking all innocent at a stoplight. And with a patch of rubber missing from the Michelins I could leave Mr. Mullet completely demoralized.

Awsome!

Benzmac is Donnie D., a former mechanic for a place called MB autoworks that went out of biz a few years back. Donnie and the webmaster of this place were partners of some sort in that business as well as in launching this site...so if you drop a line to 'webmaster' he may still have the pics/dyno info. I haven't seen Donnie around here for a while though.

cheers,
dan r.
