Oops additional information,

one bump pads in the front and zero pad in the rear (just testing)
HR springs front and rear, self leveling adjusted for new height.
Camber adjustment and toe kit installed in the rear.
I haven't decided on which shocks to install. They will have to wait for addtional funds

Same things Alon and Mark listed plus for the purist lovers I will consider the bumper impact strip insert to delete the front license plate.

After making those minor mods put a FOR SALE ad on the windshield and let me know how much you want for your beautiful E320T

Nice job !

She looks marvelous.

500E front & rear springs and swaybars; early 500E front dampers/struts (they have internal springs).

1994 500E headlights.

500E calipers, master-cylinder, and brake-booster.

Definitely tint the windows, however, use metalized-film for more infra-red/heat resistance. Go with the darkest on all windows except the two front ones. Go with the lightest metalized-film on the two front door windows.

There is a new clear metalized-film for the windshield. I'm installing it in March.

Drop in a C36 engine & tranny as well . . .

A W124 wagon with 500E springs, swaybar, and front sturts rides about 90% of a 500E. The 500E has a bigger diameter tire meaning more sidewall on a 16-inch wheel than a W124 with a 16-inch wheel, which provides more cushion.

It's not overly stiff, and firms-up when pushed due to the internal buffer-spring in the front struts/dampers.

If you could fit the 500E rear struts which also have the internal buffers that would be ideal, but alas, the W124 wagon uses a different lower-control arm in the rear so it just doesn't bolt up.

Ashman: Where can I find the grill insert?
Tinted windows, I think I will give it a try!
Monotone paint dunno if I'm sold on that yet!

mark cummins: Can you send me a link with pics of the lights
Flat badge, where would I source the kit?
Bars and Struts/Shocks on the way!

Hi-Power: I wanted to do a custom euro plate.
I might have to sell it, maybe relocating again!

ke6dcj: I still want to do a 400/500E engine in a wagon.
Would these electronics (1994 vintage) make it easier?

intruder: The ride quality isnt bad at all. I do need an alignment!
I fear the 500E struts will drop it further, so I'm waiting.

Thanks for all the comments guys, I really like the look of the Wagons, this is my second one. I would like to post all the pics but i dont have a Server in my house anymore

I will keep updating and posting pics.

Early 500E Front Suspension:
front struts: (2) 124.320.57.30
front springs: (2) 124.321.35.04
front swaybar: 124.323.72.65
front swaybar bushings:
(2) 124.323.47.85 /(2) 124.323.58.85

500E Rear Suspension:
springs: (2) 124.324.30.04
swaybar: 124.326.25.65
bushings: (2) 201.326.16.81

The Avant Garde grill is from a 97+ W140 600SEL.
The grill is 140.888.03.23, however you'll need about 12 chrome grill inserts.

Just look for a 1994 E500 to see what the lights look like. You'll lose your fog lights, until you change out the front spoiler.

Sorry, having a HFM W124 doesn't make the transistion to a M119 V8 any easier.

Way too many physical (e.g., split front rails; widen tunnel; bring back firewall) and wiring changes (e.g., wiring harness, computers, battery to trunk- wait there is no trunk in the wagon, where to put it?) to get a LH-controlled M119 V8 inside. And you still don't have the front or rear suspension control-arms, subframe, steering gearing, etc. of the 500E.

IMHO, I think finding a rear-ended 500E and grafting on the rear upper-panels of a wagon would be easier (need to keep that 500E rear subframe & chassis).

I grabbed the wrong struts today.

124.320.71.30

Oops, do these have the internal spring. Or, should I return them?

124.320.71.30 is for the late model 500E's. It isn't as stiff, and IMHO, is too soft.

Return them and get the older ones. I'm not a 100% sure they have internal springs. I'm inclined to say no, because they are significantly cheaper than the old-style struts, which should be cheaper since more 500E's were fitted with them.

If you want to get a good quality Avantgard Grill ( S600 Style ) like the one Alon is suggesting go to Bekkers for it.

They carry one for the 94-95 W124 and is not very expensive. I have one installed on my 95 E420 and it looks very nice.

I will post a picture later for your reference.
