Kevin,

Where did you see this guy at? I know a guy out in Marlow Heights, MD that has a fake E55 (E320)...he tried to race me once and I handed him his face at the next stoplight. A buddy of mine runs a shop near there and has been under the hood of that E320, it's all black and tinted. I think I recall seeing an "E520" running around in the MD DC area, it may be the same guy, but I don't know. Speaking of weird stuff, last year I saw a green C class with an AMG kit and "C 50" on the back...hmmmm. Heh I also saw a 300E with S320 on the back!!! Who knows...maybe MB should go back to bolting the badging to the cars

Let me know if you find anything out on this car...

I have seen 2 E320's and one E430 rebadged to E55's. To their owners credit they did go all the way aesthetically with the correct skirts and AMG wheels. But those exhaust are a dead give away
They can see plopping down a grand or two for the other stuff but the exhaust...NEVER...just give me the tips please

kevin,

that's him...and it's definitely an E320. He could of at least tried to rebadge it to a model that actually EXISTS...oh well.

Fellow Mercedes-Benz owner shot dead?

Today we mourn to loss of a fellow Mercedes-Benz Enthusiast! Murdered while doing his job. Yes, this is the guy that tried to fool everyone by first rebadging his 1997 E320 with Sport Package & Momo Chrome Wheels into a E520 and then later he rebadged it E55 AMG. His car may have been a fake and he may have been a poser but he did not deserve to die. He was truly a lover of Mercedes-Benz and he dreamed to reach an E55. I hope they capture the killers and I hope he has a Benz in the afterlife.

Leo, Rest in Peace.

What a complete shame...I hope his soul's at rest, and I hope they find the excrement that pulled the trigger.

E520

Mercedes renamed its mid-sized models E-Class this year, simplifying and condensing the lineup. Models now included an E320 in all four body styles, plus E420 and E520 sedans with V-8 engines. Grilles, hoods, headlights assembles, trunk lids, and taillamps were restyled. 4Matic models were gone. A 300D sedan arrived in spring of 1994, as an early '95 model, with a new 134-horsepower 3.0-liter diesel 6- cylinder engine.

Jay,

The article you referred to had a typo under the 1994 heading; MBZ NEVER produced a 5.2 litre V-8 gas motor.

Thanks to our often unappreciated law enforcement officers the "excrement" that snuffed out a life have been caught and will be tried for the crime within the next year.
