Wierd rear yaw issue

Hi all,
I have a 1993 190E Sportline w/ 83k miles on it. Car is in gorgeous shape.
When I received it about a month ago, the back end behaved wierd. Specifically, the back end felt as if it were dragging. Further, on hard cornering there was too much body lean coming from the back and wheels felt underdamped.
I suspected sway bar bushings and shocks. Replacing sway bar bushings and performing alignment has helped significantly. However, now car feels as if the swaybar is not matched to shocks/ springs, because car is too jiggly in the back.
Could deteriorating shocks be causing this? What if are not leaking? How would one detect compromised shocks, especially if they do not fail the bouce test?
If its not the shocks, what else could be causing the rear side to side jiggle. Incidentally, this is particularly pronounced when cornering. Car jiggles in the back through corners which makes it feel as if its not firmly planted.
Thanks
farrukh
