Today I took the M103 300E to the 1/4 Track. I wasn't expecting to be lighting quick, but there has been debate that the early 300Es were a bit quicker than the later ones and I wanted to see what the old Benz could do. Without the spare, a half tank of gas, and removed R16 resistor the best quarter mile time I got was 16.5sec at 83mph. This time was accomplished shifting manually with the auto tranny. Everone who has drag raced their 300E please post your time or any sugestions to knock a couple ticks of the time. I was hoping for late 15s
I am open to all ideas of improving the Performance except for sell and buy V8
