Help on selecting correct bushing(s) for my 16V.

Hey there,

I have a 2.3-16V and I need to replace the bushings on the rear swingarm.....the bushing on the outside part of the swingarm. Now, I went to a MB shop here in Memphis, however, they are priced at $46 each!! I am wondering if I can maybe find an aftermarket supplier of some bushings....maybe even a pair of polyurethane bushings. I've seen polyurethane bushing kits inside autozone and other places like that...but will they fit my 16V? Thanks.

If you are talking about where the lower control arm connects to the rear hub assembly, that is a "special" bearing that pivots! OE only. MB number 201-350-00-27 OR 220-352-02-27

Ok thanks MB Doc,

I found them on this Fastlane shop.....here is a link to the pic.

I think I'll just order them from Fastlane b/c they are much cheaper than the list price. How difficult would it be to do this myself....I don't want to pay for mb labor b/c they said they would have to take the entire rear control arm out and it would be about 4 hrs. labor!! I also need to change the center link for the steering. Thanks again in advance.
