performance chip E300 diesel?

Does anyone have an opinion on a performance chip for a 96 E300 diesel?
I have a modified EGR filter bypass and run a B40 blend of biodiesel so the amount of O2 is up alot but still the low end torque is not there.

That's why in '97 Mercedes went to a five speed with a 3.46 rear axle vs 2.87 for yours. In a sense, Mercedes provided the '97 with one gear lower than your FIRST gear.

As far as chipping. Hmmm...

You know, I consider chipping must be like the old diesels where you turn up the ALDA CCW. Do it, if you don't have to pass any emissions requirements.
