Convertible top replacement
I think I am going to purchase a new top for my 84 380SL from convertibletopsonline.com, another poster recommended them and the price is really good at $270. When I bring the top to the top shop, is there any other gaskets or weatherstripping I need to bring with me that should be replaced at the same time?

Why don't you go to the top shop first, have them look it over and let them tell you all that you need. You can also find out at that time if they will install a top that you bring in (rather than one that they would sell you)-- and the cost of the installation?

I don't want to do just the things that need replacing, I want to replace everything that one could normally expect to wear out later that is part of that particular system. I've really found this to be the best way to keep my car in good shape.
