450SL Timing Chain/Rail Repair: Do It Yourself, where?

There was an article on doing the chain and rails on a 450SL on the web, but I can't seem for the stars of me to find it. It also had a trick in which you would string the old chain to guide the new chain through, then disconnect when the old chain ended back at top.

Thanks!

Did you mean "web" or forum?

If you find it, post it! Something I'd like to do too since my 450 has well over 200K, and doubt the chain has ever been replaced!

www.pindelski.com has a step-by-step illustrated guide for this and dozens more projects for your MB. Not all of them are for 107s, but they are generally analogous. Subscritption site at $29.95 per annum.
