Upper Control harms (expensives!)
[/QUOTE]

Noticed this while I was looking at the parts book for the SL and comparing prices with the Performance Products catalog.

Glad your happy with the ride now. Mine is still fine, but not looking forward to the replacement day for the upper control arms. Maybe someone can figure out how to replace just the ball joint. The arms don't wear out its just the ball joint and the bushings.

When Its time for this I'll probably do all the suspension. If i'm taking the thing apart I might as well rebuild everthing while I've got it apart ( I do have the sir tool coil spring compressor).
Dave

PS By the way what was the break down on the labor for this job.

You can do just the ball joint...

Here is a link to a site that tells you how. Many sellers on ebay are selling the bushings+ball joint for the uppers now....

Hope that helps! --jay

Helmut, Miami

My Son, uses Helmut for his 1989 560 SL and swears he is the best around! Congratulations! Wish I had Helmut here in Baltimore.

Understand he does excellent body work as well!
