1999 sl500 recommended oil wieght?
 

I just purchased a 1999 sl500 about a month ago,and I looked thru the owners manual, but I can't find anything about oil weight.I know it takes Mobil 1 synthetic but what weight is good to use.I live in NY and the car will be driven mostly in warm weather.Thanks

Mercedes Benz sheet 229.3 approved oils and MB sheet 229.5 approved oils (MB Longlife Service Oils) list the following oil (among others): "Mobile 1 SuperSyn European Car Formula 0W-40". This is the oil that I use in my 1999 SL500 Sport. :sun_smile :sun_smile
