W107 Rear axle's
 

I am begining to think I need to repalce the rear axles on my 83 380SL. Under acceleration I get a thumping noise from the back end. I think it is coming from the Right side. You can also feel the vibration. It sounds alot like a bad CV joint There is 215,000 Miles on the car. Like I menitoned it only occurs on hard acceleration from a stop. once the car gets moving the noise and vibration stops

It could be the flex disks. My 380SE does the same thing if I have a car full of passengers but only then. Strange.
