85 380 sl stalls intermittenly/clunk when accelerating

My 85 380 sl, has stahled three time when I have come to a stop. It turns back on. And will not stahl again for a few days. Only when I come to a stop. I just had it tunned. changed timming chain/rails. Set the timming at 5 degrees btc. Replaced shift modulator.
I have used premium gas then midgrade then 87 octane. I'm testing to see what the difference might be when I run it. No (pingging) up hill with any of these, so not sure what grade to use?

The clunking sounds in the back specially when I depress and press gas pedal.
differential? Transmmion plates?

Has anyone had any of these symptoms? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I had the same problem and it turned out to be the feul pump relay. You have to pull the glove box to get at it.
