Box for first aid kit?
My newly aquired '83 280SL came with a plastic box (marked 115 0865 02 55) that may have held a first aid kit. I've seen this in e-bay pictures located on the passenger's side rear panel. Is that correct and how is it held in place? The side panels don't seem to have any type of mounts that mate up with the holes in the box. Any help appreciated.

It goes on the right rear side pannel. There should be a plastic bin that holds it slides straight down into. I'm not sure but if you have a rear seat this bin may have to be removed. You will need to order that bin.

John, thanks. I've got what I think is the bin (part number in first post), and will find a first aid kit (ebay). I don't know how the bin is secured to the side or bottom panel. First aid kit is only for the OP (originality police) as 20+ year old bandages, dressings, etc. will only fall apart when opened. Same thought for the fire extingisher at front of drivers seat. Original bracket holds a modern extinguisher.
