1997 SL 600 O2 sensor

My check engine light shows the following codes:

P0150 O2 sensor circuit malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
P1386 ?
P0560 System voltage malfunction

Does anyone know which side is bank 2 (drivers or passengers)?
Is sensor 1 before the cat or after it?

What is P1386?

I just changed the battery and now I get P0560. Is my alternator going out?

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe changing the battery produced P0560???

Here's the missing code info:
P1386 Knock sensor control from electronic control module - at limit

Not sure what O2 sensor that is; my '94 has only ONE! You could have four (4) O2 sensors but I would bet just two (2). That's plenty.

On my car, the one sensor is before the cat. So should yours.

Thanks Jim,
I cleared all the codes and still get the P0150 and the P0560. I have 4 O2 sensors, since it is a V12. One in front of each cat and one behind each. I just don't know which one is bank 2. These sensors are about $150 a pop, so I'd rather not guess. I hope the knock sensor code was set when the battery was jumped and failed to hold a charge. I also can't get my top or roll bar to work, I tried everything...hope I didn't fry the control module when it was jump started. This seems to be a recurring problem with these cars.

On a 1997 600SL Bank 1 is on the Passenger side.

I'd opt for a Bosch Generic O2 sensor as it will perform exactly like an OE unit for half the cost. Your car uses a four wire sensor. The Bosch generic part # is 15738 for all four sensors. Going price appears to be $89. I'll bet the guys here at Fastlane will be able to supply....just give them a call.

When using a generic you'll have to reuse the connnector to the wiring harness. You'll get a well designed splice/connector and instructions to complete this operation. I did this about six months ago on all four sensors for a Porsche twin turbo.....it still runs flawlessly.
