Beautiful!

I love that color.
Did they do the wheels too?

No, those wheels came off a brand new 380SL in 1984 and where in storage for about 18yrs are so. I just lucked out finding them.

Thumbs up

WOW! That is simply outstanding. Today I test drove a 98 SL in a similar color, but it didn't look as stunning as yours. The 107s are just in a league of their own, and if I buy the 129 I'll still keep the 75 450SL. Just wish it looked as good as your 500! Enjoy it.

I thought all 500SLs had a rear spoiler. It's very nice.

Don't worry it's going back on, I wanted to go wingless for awhile. Thanks everyone for the great complements.

Looks beautiful Eric.

Although I thought it was a beauty before it went to the shop! When I get back to the house - sometime in February, I will have to find my "before" shot and repost it.

Simply ravishing and.....delicious! Love the sheen of that blue!

How much was that paint job, if I may ask? Also, what type of smog equipment does yours have on it? Mine has the Lambda system (no air pump) and precats/cat in back. Was it hard to get it to pass smog? I was told the frequency valve is worthless and should be disconnected.

Thank you!

David,

Every now and then it acts up, I just send it in for tuning. Not sure what kind of system it is. It does have a smog pump.

The paint job was around 5k, but $2500 of that was to fix the door. A young woman rammed me pulling into my driveway. Out of pocket on my side was $2500 and 1k for misc. items i.e. new chrome, new rubber seals, and so on.
