Need Help ASAP - 4:45 pm Saturday
Would some kind soul please give me a call to talk about a 450SL I might purchase? I've had about 8 diesels and never a gas mercedes and have an opportunity to buy one tomorrow. If I don't get it, there's another offer on the table. The problem is, it is a 4 1/2 hour drive to give my downpayment and I'm a little edgy about not knowing anything about these cars. Please call and help with a few questions. Many thanks.

A much bigger headache
I've had tw other diesels, a '76 300, and a '78 240 ( which was murdered by a toyaota a 465k miles). I did every thing on those cars, I mean everything.
Now I have an '82 380 SL, and I lover her as much as I did my 240D. But she need better hands than I have. Read all the threads, they have their problems. I's up to you, but I prefer topless, and If I ever hit the Lottery, I'll have another oil burner too! Good Luck. |

Find a good Mercedes Mechanic or dealer in the area. Take it top them, and have them just check everything out. I know that you are a little worried about buying a gasser Mercedes, but if you get everything checked out, and it looks OK, you will be good to go. Just remember, there is always another one, so if something looks wierd/out of place, just run. Don't even look back.
