1986 560sl instrument cluster

My mechanic removed instrument cluster in order to do some repairs. I have cleaned the cluster and its bulbs from a 20 year old dust. I beleive it should shine now like new. Since I am in Europe and I have a US MB model I have 2 questions please try to help if you had some experience in this field:

1. On the attached picture you may see the instrument cluster back side. You can see the empty holes on the bulb places 2,3,4,5,6. 2 is for seat belt, 3 is for SRS, 4 Q sensor, 5 ANTILOCK and 6 does not exist. Does it look like someone hase removed those bulbs, I also dont see the wirring going into those holes? I heard they do this on US models to hide that ABS or SRS are not working.

2. On the see through plastic area on the automatic gear shifter there are letter D, R, 2, 3, B and N. Is this area illuminated or does it have a bulb like most oother MB's. If yes how to reach this bulb. My shifter is also removed from the car so I can use this opportunity to fix it if it exsists?

Thank you all for any input.
