Anyone In Sarasota????
 

Hi..anyone in Sarasota that could at least drive by and look at a car for me. 85 380SL with 88K. Car is at a small dealer. He says it's very nice but has no digital camera or computer to send me photos. It is a 3 hour drive one way for me. Everyone's idea of excellent condition is very different from mine. Hey Larry..It's called American-Foreign Auto at 2640 Stickney Point Road. Does that street even sound familiar?

Yes, Stickney Point Rd. is just up the road...eventually, it turns into Clark Rd.

I think he is between 41 and Swift. I've seen the place driving by, and might have looked around a few years ago. Can't say much more, except that he has been there quite a few years.

What color is it? I'll see if I can swing by in the next day or two and take some snapshots. In the meantime, get the VIN and run a carfax (or see if a member can run one for you)

I guess if I'm looking for a car I should just join the carfax for a year or whatever to run reports.

I sent you a PM about the white SL in Sarasota (they also have a blue one). Took it for a spin too, while I was there.

The blue one has fewer miles (less than 70k) but it needs paint and it has a little surface rust near the fuel door.
