Side Moulding Disease- Possible Cure
Does anyone else have the problem with the tops of the side moulding going bad - where it gets wrinkly, hard, shiny and mottled, etc? I put a new set on this weekend (I scored a major deal on eBay some time ago) and I've been playing around with the old ones to see if anything can be done with them.
After some serious hand-wringing, pounding, and praising/cursing numerous deities and devils, I have restored three pieces to nearly-new condition; I actually had to think about installing the new or keeping the old, they turned out so well. Once I really get this down, I'll describe it further. In the meantime, hang on to your bad side moulding, or sell your old stuff to me (cheap). |
I look forward to your results, Strife.
