Bumper cover replacement, 99 SL500
Hi group-
The front bumper cover that covers the front of the car like a spoiler was damaged and installed REALLY bad by the PO. The PO ( dealer) says they will replace it, a common problem for the low SL & crubs. Someone at the shop missed it and I think an honest error on their part. Are these available on a used market that can be repainted or new from a good sourse- What are they called ? I'm to get a bid here locally and want to have a little knowledge on what I'm talking about- Thanks for the advice ! sj

This is a rather expensive item, if the seller agreed to replace it, take it back to him/them. I'm sure that it comes pre-painted according to your Vin no. when purchased from the dealer so is just a matter of installation.

Dealer has said they will take responsibility for it........ sj Steve, unless there's a front clip locally in Colorado, shouldn't the dealer just get you one and ship it to you? If you get if from ebay, it's probably going to have to be shipped anyway. If the dealer is really standing behind this, let him do some of the work- Bob

yep, that's it, know of any hanging around in Colorado ? ( Fort Collins)
