thin style chrome shift surround wanted
 

i posted looking for a chrome shift surround to go on my 1990 30 sl. thanks for the replys. i bought one, but is isnt what i thought it would be. it is a cover to go over the stock bezel and is wider. looks like to much chrome to me.

i was thinking i wanted it to be the size of the original but in chrome.
does anyone know of a source for one like that? did a silver arrow come w/one?

I found one on e-bay a few years ago and it was described as a replacement for the Silver Arrow edition. I never used mine because after I looked at it in my car I decided it was just a bit too flashy for the otherwise understated nature of the vehicle interior.

Hi you can buy these from MB direct, they are not very expensive either. I bought one from MB for my W202 and its exactly the same as the one in the SL.

i will try and get the part number for you, but you can have a look on this site and do a search on chrome surround you should be able to find it.

170 267 02 88 and costs about £7.50 inclusive of VAT
