I'm looking for a used SL500 from the mid 90's, but I'm having trouble knowing what some of the colors look like - colors seem to change regularly so the current 2000 model's brochure aren't much help when it comes to seeing what azurite blue, vivanite green or smoke silver etc look like.

Does anyone have any pics of 1990-2000 SL brochures scanned onto their websites? I'd love to have a look to see how options have changed over the years too. Many thanks for any help, cheers

Before I purchased my SL, I went to my local dealership and he was able to furnish JUST the info that you are looking for. I too was interested in the colors and the options and he had all the info there for me to look at on current and previous model years. As far as the options and colors on the internet, I know that the Mercedes site has a model year section to for previous model research, but I do not recall color designations. You may try e-mailing MB as to your request....I have been fortunate obtaining info from them as needed. Keep us posted as I'm sure there are other owners with the same inquiries!!! :D

If you go to MBUSA and try to 'build your new car' then many of the colours are shown there. This may be true of the other national MB websites. I've just bought a 1996 R129, silver. Haven't seen it yet so hope that it looks as I imagine...
