Need rear axel rebuilder for 230SL- L.A. to S.F.

A friend of mine has the 230sl and the right side axel joint let go. It also needs a new grease boot installed. Any of you guys know of a GOOD REPUTABLE shop between San Francisco and Los Angles?
I have an EARLY MBZ shop manual that shows how to R&R the rear axel... Looks like you might need a special jig or two to support it. Any of you guys attempted the R&R? Any info MUCH appreciated! CHris

If you don't mind going a little further north (Napa) Dave Smith at Silver Star Motors, 707-252-8440, is your man. Been a Merc mechanic for fourty years and is restoring his own 230.
