Do local auto stores carry things like steering pumps, gaskets and such?

What other models share the same 560 motor?

This is my first MB and everything for it seems very foreign..pun intended... I know where to get any part for a Trans Am or turbo Buick but haven't a clue for this car.

I actually just discovered that this site has many of the parts I probably will need, but was curious if local parts stores have parts usually when I'm in a jam for a part I need without waiting for it to come in the mail.
