380 steering noise

my 85 380sl makes a whining noise over 40 mph and it seems to be louder when I steer to the right. any ideas? i had the steering box replaced a while ago and the transmission replaced a year ago.

My $0.02, the front wheel bearings. Happened on my 560. They were rough and pitted, but luckily cheap to replace ($25 a kit, one kit per wheel). Caused the whirring noise, and could definitely change with different wheel loading, such as turning.
