89 560 abs light on with high idle
Hi i have an 89 560sl have been noticing that upon starting at times the idle is very high. when this occurs, the abs light is also on. when the abs light goe out, the car idles normally. any suggestions? thanks!

sounds like a defective over voltage relay

I had this happen on my 86 560SL after it sat for a month. I reseated the OVP and it was OK. Nonetheless, I replaced it with one that I had taken apart and resoldered. I can't say if moving it while reseating it made the problem go away or if it was bad contacts.
The OVP is in a really inconvenient spot on this car!
