300 hours of work, 35k€ for 450 SL

Hey,

wow. So, my dad had our SL taken apart, cleaned clear of rust, and generally redone. Check? 35000€. Take away the cost of the repair (it was in an accident), and you're at 22000€ to redo the entire car. Jeez.

Car isn't worth that kind of money. What was he thinking? That's like spending $50,000+ American dollars for a car that's worth $10,000. in top condition.

It's a family thing

I just spent $88k for my wife in the hospital. Hell, she ain't worth $10 k these last ten tears!

its sentimential value, heck i wouldnt pay $5k for that, there are so many cars out there,

i get attached too, but reality is that cars are just metal and plastic and lot of grease
