throttle linkage lube

what do you guys use to lubercate your throttle linkage. Looking at my cd repair disk, they list some types of hydrolic fluid that I have never heard of, and says to use them only, anything common to use?

I use hydraulic fluid. But I'm a weirdo. It's available at Home Depot in the log splitter section.

This is right next to the hair splitter section. Transmission fluid seems to be a popular solution.

throttle linkage

Being the maverick that I am, I use a good waterproof white grease. Once a year, pop the joints apart with the twist of a screwdriver, clean and reapply, then squeeze the joints back together.

I've done this on all my old Benzs' and they always appreciated it.
