Used parts

Anyone know where I can get some used parts for my 1973 450SL?
I need the trim on the hardtop that goes from the front of the top to the rear and then around the side windows. I will need some other parts as well. Steering gear box, Right red sun visor, inside rear view mirror assembly, and I will have to think about what else I need.

I have a complete set of chrome moulding for the hardtop and also the chrome side seat covers . Plus other 107 Parts let me know wht you need

I have spares of the two strips on top of the hardtop, but be aware that they are REALLY difficult to replace. Basically, you have to take the entire plastic out of the interior of the hardtop, remove the headliner without damaging it (ha, it's glued on the sides), and THEN those strips are riveted in with rivets of a type that I've never seen. These had to be pretty strong because those strips were designed to hold roof racks.

I learned how to disassemble a hardtop by disassembling a junk hardtop.

You MIGHT consider looking for a good used hardtop. There are a lot more hardtops out there than cars, and many of them weren't used! But note, I have seen very few hardtops available that did not have at least a little damage on the brightwork around the bottom under the side windows that wraps around. If the owner didn't have a lift or rack, I guarantee that they are damaged. And all of the brightwork is $$$ new.
