380SL Convertible crank lever

Hi all,
I am new here and this is my first post. I am afraid I may not be able to contribute much as I will probably need more help than anything.

I own a 1984 380SL and I continually run into an issue with parts. I think my model may be an Euro model because it seems many of the parts are wrong when I designate the proper year and model. For instance, when looking for wood dash replacement, my car has the levers and two side by side knobs where the part I find has horizontal push buttons.

Anyway, my issue at the moment is locating the lever that goes behind the convertible top crank. I can find the crank, but not the lever. It could very well be that the lever is included with the crank but I can not find anyone to verify. Would anyone here have an idea?

Thanks,

Welcome
do you mean the crank lever that tightens down the latches at the window frame? If so usually on ebay, and I have several if you cant find what you want . PM me
As far as parts, the ACC system can be several types ACC type one or type two. Sounds like you have type one
I parted out an 84 not long ago, I still have some parts lying about, let me know what you need.

Welcome to the forum.

If you are in the US, go here and sign up for a free EPC subscription. This will really help you find the right part. It includes european models. They ask for a CC # but it is only used to validate your address.

If you have sliders in an '84, then it is a euro. But the top parts will be the same.

Two great posts... FINALLY a site (EPC) that knows my model and shows the proper parts. I have had a world of a time with service providers ordering the wrong things. Now I can provide the proper part information on things I do not do myself...

Yes, I have the manual sliders and I WOULD be interesed in climate control parts for it.

Here is a very bad picture of the climate control panel. The lever I need is located under the crank on the rear driver's side panel. I could use the washer there as well if you happen to have those parts and they are in worthy shape..

I have a extra crank and second lever that goes behind the crank lever to open the hook thingy to pop the rear of the top. Is that what you mean? Let me know you can have it for free. Email me at timevans35@gmail.com to make araingements if you still need it...
