450sl ECU, where is it?
I hope anyone can help me here, I looked below the passenger carpet, under the dash, and nothing, thanks for any responses. I'm looking for the ecu of my car thanks

As your car is a 1978, it does not have an ECU. None dude after 1975 until the 560SL in 1986 which had a sort of computer.

You do have a switch unit which some refer to as an ICU. It is mounted on the Dr. fender.

You might not have one as the fellow says,but the one in a74 450sl is behind the glove box.

'71 thru '75 have d-jet system, electrinic FI and an ECU. '76 and later have k-jet, mechanical FI with no ECU that I know of.
