300SL, that is exciting news. Congratulations.

A fuse keeps blowing? Make sure the blower is not seized. Also make sure it has the right size fuse.

This is the sixth car I've brought into Canada over the years. I've always enjoyed flying to the vehicle and then driving it back. Except I shipped a silver shadow from England in 1985. I had major difficulties with that one.
Also... I LOVE TEXAS !!

It was shipped over to Canada in March and the shipping company had to take it off the boat in Halifax because the St.Lawrence River was frozen! Even though I had contracted for shipping to Ottawa, the shipper left me high and dry.

I just heard from the owner, the compressor was shot....$1,900 to replace it. I've agreed to pay half and am flying down to Houston on thursday to pick up my new baby.

If you get here (Houston) and need help, PM me. Is the owner going to pick you up from the airport? Rocky

Also, is the PO going to use a rebuilt compressor or a new one ($800 v $400)? Let me know if you need a wingman whilst you're here. Rocky

He will probably be traveling in shorts and a Tee Shirt.
It is a little late but he might want to post on the 107 Forum on bezworld.org.

Quite a few members here are on also on there. I know of at least one in Louisiana and several in the other states along the way.

Hell, he should be going through Texarkana. Isn't that spittin' distance from you (using all the Texas colloquialisms I can think of since he said he loved Texas)? You'd be a great first night stop depending on what time he leaves. Don't you serve beer and offer turn down serve with your extra room?
