HIGH IDLE ON 1987 560SL
MY 1987 560 SL IDLES BETWEEN 10-20 RPM.
DOES ANYONE HAVE A SOLUTION? |
Vacuum leak. What is your economy gauge reading. Does it idle down after warming up?

idle adjustment on sl
On older models there is a plastic slotted idle screw at the front of the air cleaner. Look to see if your car has such. Hope this helps, good luck Abe G

Throttle position sensor went bad on my 1989 and caused that problem. It would not make a closed circuit when the butterfly was closed.
