The Seats Especially Drivers side

My 560 has the most uncomfortable seats of any car I ever owned.

I cannot be the only owner with this problem. Any Advice?

I find mine very comfortable after driving my '84 500SL and really, really comfortable compared to the '73 450SL. Of course the '73 is really, really broken down.

New seat springs and padding on the bottom. Not cheap but worth it. If you're over 6'2" you might as well forget about fitting in it comfortably. I love my SL, but I can't do long road trips because of my seating position.

X2. The seats in the 380SL I rescued need repair and redo. The plan is to completely redo them and make a couple cushions for the back seatimng area, putting the cushions on the shelf space.

You obviously haven't ridden in some of the cars I have. :D

However, they will break down over time and require maintenance like any other car component. About everything you'd need is available and can be put together as a DIY.
