WTB 1980 280SL soon. looking for info, specifically photos of engine compartment
 

hi, i am a new member here and will be purchasing a 1980 280 sl soon. i am looking to find any info on this model, specifically photos of engine compartment. i am also finding conflicting info on fuel system type,and most original specifications overall.a long time 380sl owner/friend said this is the place to go for info.all assistance is welcome.thank you.andyn214@yahoo.com

Try Ebay and other sites for the M110 engine manual. For the chassis obtain a 107 chassis manual.
The fuel System will be Bosch K-Jet. The EPC lists the 280SL so you can look up parts there. http://epc.startekinfo.com/epc/welcome.jsp It requires a credit card to verify US residency. No charge will be made. You can't beat free.
