no light in climate control

on my 97 sl320 there is no light in the climate control unit. can this be fixed or replaced?

Actually both...you fix your situation by replacing the bulb. Unit has to come out so you can get to the bulb/fixture-

'Radio' removal tools...essentially a couple of pieces of flat aluminum with notches on the ends that silide into the bottom corners of the CC unit until they 'click'. The tools have finger holes that stay exposed and are used to pull the unit out once unlocked. Most radio repair shops have these keys and can get your unit out in seconds.

That would be about five bulbs that need to be burned out if it is a push button type of climate control. If you replace them and they still don't go on, check the ground wire.
