380SL injector replacement schedule?

Guys

What is the prevailing wisdom on when and if the injectors on a 380Sl should be changed? In the diesel world a re-build or spray test is recommended every 100K miles or so and re-built injectors are quite reasonable.

One parts retailer - who likes to market by "scaring" people into replacing perfectly fine parts - is recommending routine replacement of 380SL injectors every 100K miles as well.

What do you think? Is it worth it or a waste of time and money? With 8 of the little blighters to replace it is not a trivial cost to do!

Thanks!
