Roll bar will not go down

My wife was driving to work and when she turned into the parking deck (it is on a small decline upon entering)the roll bar engaged. I tried the switch, but the bar will not go down. I can press the switch and push the bar down, yet it comes back up.

Any help. I currently have the hard top on.

93' 300 SL.
