abs and soft top

I had a strange thing happen,in my quest to fix my abs system. The other day I removed the hard top from my 88 560sl. put the soft top up,then went for a drive.put top down, doing this made the light for the abs go off,and the abs light stay off for a drive of about thirty miles.two of the three times I have put the soft top down, the abs light has gone out
I hope someone can explain this. thanks.miker

IMO, it was a coincidence since the two systems have nothing to do with each other.

Thumbs down abs

I think that the rear abs cable is getting hit by some part of the top linkage,as you know the 560 has just one rear abs sensor that goes into the diff.I am locking for the routing of that cable. In my quest to fix this,I have never had anything else, cause the abs light to go out.thanks miker
