107 subframe reinforcement kit
Hello, I've been reading older posts about the recall and repair kit for 107 front control arm mounts. Mine snapped today and I feel lucky to be alive. What I'm wondering is if there is any new information. My car is an 82 380SL. Will a dealership sell me the kit? Does anyone else sell the kit? What is it costing these days? As always, thank you in advance, Andy

If it's already cracked / broken the kit won't help. You now need a replacement subframe. Could be used...just ensure that it is the upgraded one (from a 560SL) The kit was designed to beef up the area BEFORE cracking.
