Final Report
My apologies for taking so long to get back to you. Torsion spring broke on my garage door and that sort of changed all my plans.
Anyway, my cluster problems turned out to be no problem at all, as soon as I removed the cluster again I saw my problem: I had installed the central lower connector wrong, it was one row too far down. How could I possibly do that TWICE and not notice it is beyond me. Too tired I guess. As far as the part time working odometer, the mystery deepens: It worked full time for about a week, and now it has stopped completely. Gears seem to be ok. I wonder what I could have possibly screwed up this time. Thank you all for your help, you've been great. Jl |
