2005 SL500
 

Howdy folks! I've been a member of the diesel forum for several years now and am looking at buying my first SL! It is a 2005 SL500 with 88,000 miles on it, listed for $21,900.

I am just curious if there are any specific items to watch out for, areas of concern, and when the next major service will be required. Any assistance is appreciated!

I bought an 04 SL 55 amg last year. I can tell you watch out for the ABC, the SBC, and the front end lower control arm bushings and ball joints. All these items are weak. If you can get a warranty, I could not find anyone to offer a warranty on the AMG, but I think for a 500 you could. Good luck!
